A sturdy easy-flying kite consisting of 8 long collars and a small hex ring. The wings can be separated from the body for easy transport and storage. Winner of the 2026 Cherry Blossom Kite Festival "Original Design" category.
The word "kite" is from Old English "cyta" a phonetic spelling of the sound the bird makes as it soars. This version has a shape that crosses a white-tailed kite and a swallow-tailed kite, both species of western Americas.
